yessy + dustin {engaged!}

So normally 90+ degree temperatures paired with viscous mosquitos and creepy alligators is not how we would like to spend our mornings… but throw in a cute and lovable couple like Yessy and Dustin and it’s right up our alley!

Yessy and Dustin chose to shoot their engagement session in the everglades at Shark Valley where they actually bike a 15 mile loop around the swampy nature preserve. Yessy was telling us how they even go at night when there’s no light but the moon and the occasional alligator eyes… no. thank. you.

It was such a rush b/c just walking along the path there were alligators within 4-5 feet of us AND they weren’t fenced in! Crazy! I’m not gonna lie, I was totally paranoid! I even yelled at Phillip for getting too close to one while trying to capture it’s photo. (I sounded like my mom)   :)
We ended up renting bikes because I was too scared to walk around for fear of them leaping out of the water and eating me — I wasn’t kidding about the paranoid thing.

Despite the heat, gigantic grasshoppers and fear of being lunch it was an awesome start to the day. I actually want to go back and bike the 15 mile loop!

Yessy and Dustin thanks for hanging out with us and braving the elements. We look forward to your wedding in November and thank you again for choosing us!
